Creating an AI WhatsApp Agent

With an AI WhatsApp Agent you can have messages answered automatically within the tone of voice, rules and knowledge you set. In this article you will read step by step how to create such an Agent in Heyloha. Once the Agent is active, it can independently answer WhatsApp messages based on your instructions and configured knowledge.

In short

You create a new AI Agent from the dashboard. You choose the type: WhatsApp Agent. You select roles (determine behavior and tone of voice). You choose a website as knowledge source. You give the Agent a name and link a WhatsApp number. Then you set the Agent to active.


How to create an AI WhatsApp Agent

Click New AI Agent in the top right

In the dashboard you will find the New AI Agent button in the top right corner. Click here to get started.

Choose WhatsApp Agent

A selection window appears where you can choose the Agent type. Choose WhatsApp Agent here.

Choose one or more roles

Roles determine how the Agent behaves and which tone of voice is used. You can select one or more roles to steer the desired behavior.

Choose the website the AI is based on

Select an existing linked website or add a new website. The Agent uses the information from this site as the basis for answers.

Give the Agent a name and link a WhatsApp account

Give the Agent an internal name (only visible within Heyloha). Then select a previously linked phone number, or choose Link new number to add a new WhatsApp number.

Set the Agent to active

The new WhatsApp Agent appears in your dashboard. Click Settings and set the Agent to Active. From that moment the Agent is available for use. In the settings menu you can always add extra knowledge, instructions or features later.

The WhatsApp Agent only uses the information you add. The AI does not supplement this on its own.

A WhatsApp Agent can only be created when a phone number has been linked.
