Linking your phone number for your WhatsApp Agent
To have WhatsApp messages handled automatically by your AI WhatsApp Agent, you first need to link a phone number. This number is used to receive incoming messages and to start conversations from the WhatsApp Agent. Without this link, a WhatsApp Agent cannot be activated.
In short
You link a WhatsApp phone number via the Integrations menu. You link the number by scanning the QR code with the WhatsApp app on your phone. After linking, the number appears in the list and can be used for AI WhatsApp Agents.
The phone number you link must already be active on WhatsApp. This means the number is registered and working in the WhatsApp app. A number without an existing WhatsApp account cannot be linked.
You can link multiple phone numbers. This allows you to have different WhatsApp Agents each operate via their own number.
How to link a WhatsApp phone number
Go to Integrations
In the left menu, go to Integrations. In the submenu, click WhatsApp under Incoming communication.
Click Link new account
Click the green Link new account button.
Scan the QR code with your phone
A window appears with a QR code. Scan it with the phone that has the WhatsApp account you want to use. Open WhatsApp on your phone, go to Linked devices, choose Link a device and scan the QR code shown in Heyloha.
Your phone number is linked
After scanning, the phone number appears in the list of linked accounts. The green Linked label confirms everything is connected correctly.
